Virbac (skipper Jean-Pierre DICK) and PRB (skipper Vincent RIOU) crossed the finish line in Calais on Saturday night at 21 h 54 mn 23 sec and 22 h 50 min and 22 sec (local time) respectively. Both crews experienced one of the weirdest sailing day of their careers, with no winds at all for most of the day ! It took them and incredible 8 hours, 28 mn and 29 seconds, and 9 hours, 16 min and 44 seconds to cross the channel, at 2,24 knots and 2,05 knots average speeds...

Slowly, slowly the last three Open 60 footers in the first edition of the 1000 milles de Calais make for home. Expected for breakfast, the trio are now unlikely to even make lunch...and the food onboard is scarce to say the least...At 0600 GMT this morning Virbac was 49 miles from the finish with PRB a lowly 7.7 miles behind him and Arcelor around 23 miles behind PRB. It’s going to be a long day with a vast high pressure zone settled over the Channel for the duration...
